Title:   “Exploring long-lived heavy neutral leptons at the LHC”

Abstract:

In recent years, the search for long-lived particles, particularly  heavy neutral leptons (HNLs), has gathered significant interest within
the particle physics community. In this seminar, we will examine various theoretical frameworks for describing HNL interactions, namely
the minimal scenario where HNLs interact with the SM through mixing with active neutrinos, and non-minimal extensions employing effective
field theories (EFTs). We will explore the collider phenomenology of GeV-scale HNLs in both scenarios, discussing the sensitivity prospects
of the HL-LHC for probing these long-lived HNLs.
