Title: New results in Multi-Higgs Models

Abstract:

We review some new results in symmetry constrained 3 Higgs Doublet Models (3HDM). For the problem of Bounded From Below (BFB) we propose a simple sufficient (although not necessary) condition for the potential to be BFB. In the case U(1)xU(1) we compare this condition with the necessary and sufficient conditions that are known. We also review and compare the cases of Z2xZ2 and Z3, where no such conditions are known.  In the second part we consider 3HDM with an A4 symmetric potential. We discuss the possible vacua when the symmetry is exact and when we consider soft symmetry breaking. We show that in this last case that we can have an excellent fit of the quark mass matrices.
