Title:   “Reflections on the Higgs Sector in the Standard Model and Beyond”

Abstract:  

In this talk I will review the properties of the Standard Model Higgs sector and discuss how these properties are modified once we introduce new physics at the weak scale. I will also discuss the specific properties a model should present in order to approach the Standard Model behavior and therefore be consistent with experiment. In relation to this, I will introduce the concept of alignment in the Higgs sector as well as ways in which alignment can be achieved. Searches for new Higgs bosons at the weak scale will also be discussed.
