SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías - Professor Ferruccio Feruglio (University of Padova)
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Ferruccio Feruglio_17 de abril de 2024\n  \nfecha: Miércoles; 17 de abril \nhora: 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) vía online. \nSpeaker:    Professor Ferruccio Feruglio (University of Padova) \nTitle:   “Modular invariance and the flavor puzzle” \nAbstract: \nThe flavor sector of particle physics requires more than 20 parameters for a complete description. Despite the very precise available data\, the\norigin of these parameters remains obscure. Such a flavor puzzle is one of the most profound and fascinating problems of fundamental interactions. \nThe hope of deriving these parameters from a fundamental principle has led scientists to explore a great variety of symmetries patterns. In this talk\, I will show how the role of flavor symmetry can be played by modular invariance\, ubiquitous in string theory and condensed matter systems. Modular invariance can be explored in a consistent bottom-up\napproach\, which here will be reviewed and applied to neutrino masses and mixing angles.   Despite the freedom inherent in model building\, a set of universal predictions free from ambiguities can be formulated when the theory approaches a critical point\, much as in the case of phase transitions. In addition\, modular invariance can shed light on one long standing mystery of the quark sector\, the strong CP problem. \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n  \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \nNote: \n The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars: \nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías - Mario Reig
DESCRIPTION:SeminarioMarioReigMiercoles22deMayo\n\nDate: miércoles; 22 de Mayo\, a las 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) vía online.\n \nSpeaker: Dr. Mario Reig (University of Oxford\, United Kingdom)\n \nTitle: “Testing the far UV of the Standard Model with axions”\n\nAbstract: In this talk I will discuss axion couplings to gauge bosons in 4-dimensional Grand Unified Theories and in (heterotic) String Theory. The topological nature of these couplings allows them to be matched from the UV to the IR\, and the ratio of the anomaly with photons and gluons for any axion is fixed by unification. I will show that this implies that there is a single axion— the QCD axion— with an anomalous coupling to photons. Other light axion-like particles can couple to photons by mixing through the QCD axion portal\, and necessarily lie to the right of the QCD line prediction in the mass-coupling plane. As a result\, a discovery of an axion to the left of the QCD line can rule out simple GUTs and some heterotic string compactifications.\n \n\nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09\n \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888\nCódigo de acceso: 100126\n\n\nNote:\n\n \nThe seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías - Professor Pasquale Di Bari  (University of Southampton\, United Kingdom)
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Pasquale Di Bari_29 de mayo de 2024\nFecha- hora: 29 de mayo\, 12:00 hrs. (Chile Continental) vía online. \nSpeaker:    Professor Pasquale Di Bari  (University of Southampton\, United Kingdom) \nTitle:   “Neutrino Majorana mass generation in the early universe” \nAbstract: \nIn the talk I will discuss how the generation of neutrino Majorana mass can have different implications in the early universe.  If this is associated to a first order phase transition a gravitational wave production becomes possible and can give a signal. I will show how in this case having a multiple majoron model can enhance the signal. I will also discuss how a low scale Majorana mass generation can help addressing different cosmological anomalies/tensions. In particular\, it might be related to the instability of cosmic neutrinos and explain the  excess radio background detected by ARCADE and the putative anomalous 21 cm global signal claimed by EDGES. \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n  \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \nNote:        \nThe seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario de Altas Energías - Dr. Yuta Orikasa
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Yuta Orikasa_5 de junio de 2024\n  \nDate: miércoles 5 de junio a las 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental)\, vía online. \nSpeaker:    Dr. Yuta Orikasa  (Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics\, Czech Technical University in Prague) \nTitle:   “Dark matter stability at fixed points in a modular A_4 symmetry” \nAbstract: \nModular flavor symmetries are powerful tools not only to obtain predictions for fermion mass matrices but also to induce dark matter(DM) stability. We propose a new stabilization mechanism for DM at fixed points of modular A_4 symmetry\, thanks to the recovery of a residual symmetry for each of fixed points. We find that a model at a fixed point successfully reproduces the neutrino oscillation data without conflict of the DM stability. \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):       https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n  \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

In this seminar\, we will examine various theoretical frameworks for describing HNL interactions\, namely\nthe minimal scenario where HNLs interact with the SM through mixing with active neutrinos\, and non-minimal extensions employing effective\nfield theories (EFTs). SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías “Freeze-in at stronger coupling” - Dra Catarina Cosme (University of Coimbra\, Portugal)
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Catarina Cosme_19 de junio\n  \nDate: miércoles 19 de junio a las 13:00 hrs. (Chile Continental)\, vía online. \nSpeaker:   Dra Catarina Cosme  (University of Coimbra\, Portugal) \nTitle: “Freeze-in at stronger coupling” \nAbstract: \nIn this talk\, I will discuss the freeze-in dark matter production mechanism at low reheating temperatures. The process is Boltzmann-suppressed if the dark matter mass is above the reheating temperature\, and\, in this case\, the coupling to the thermal bath has to be significant to account for the observed dark matter relic density. As a result\, the direct DM detection experiments can already probe such freeze-in models\, excluding significant parts of parameter space. The forthcoming experiments will explore this framework further\, extending to lower couplings and higher reheating temperatures. \n  \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):    https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n  \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n  \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías - Dra. Cristina Mondino\, Perimeter Institute (Waterloo\, Cánada)
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Cristina Mondino_26 de junio de 2024\n  \nDate: miércoles; 26 de junio –  14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) –  vía online \nSpeaker:  Dra. Cristina Mondino\, Perimeter Institute (Waterloo\, Cánada) \nTitle:   “Axion-Induced Patchy Screening of the CMB” \n  \nAbstract: \nCosmic Microwave Background (CMB) photons can undergo resonant conversion into axions in the presence of magnetized plasma distributed inside nonlinear large-scale structure (LSS). This process leads to axion-induced patchy screening: secondary temperature and polarization anisotropies with a characteristic non-blackbody frequency dependence that are strongly correlated with the distribution of LSS along our past light cone. I will discuss how to compute the axion-induced patchy screening contribution to two- and three- point correlation functions that include CMB anisotropies and tracers of LSS within the halo model. I will then show that a search for this axion signal using existing data from Planck and the unWISE galaxy catalogue would be complementary to the most sensitive existing astrophysical axion searches\, for a decade of axion masses around 10^-12 eV. Observations from a future survey such as CMB-S4 could extend this reach by almost an additional order of magnitude. \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname): \nhttps://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n ID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n   \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías - Dr. Moinul Hossain Rahat\, Universidad de Valencia
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Moinul Hossain_3 de julio de 2024\n  \nDate: miércoles; 3 de julio –  14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) –  vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Moinul Hossain Rahat\, Instituto de Física Corpuscular\, Universidad de Valencia (Valencia\, España) \nTitle:   “Type-I two-Higgs-doublet model and gravitational waves from domain walls bounded by strings” \n  \nAbstract: \nThe spontaneous breaking of a U(1) symmetry via an intermediate discrete symmetry may yield a hybrid topological defect of domain walls bounded by cosmic strings. The decay of this defect network leads to a unique gravitational wave signal spanning many orders in observable frequencies\, that can be distinguished from signals generated by other sources. We investigate the production of gravitational waves from this mechanism in the context of the type-I two-Higgs-doublet model extended by a U(1)R symmetry\, that simultaneously accommodates the seesaw mechanism\, anomaly cancellation\, and eliminates flavour-changing neutral currents. The gravitational wave spectrum produced by the string bounded-wall network can be detected for U(1)R breaking scale from 10^{12} to 10^{15} GeV in forthcoming interferometers including LISA and Einstein Telescope\, with a distinctive f^3 slope and inflexion in the frequency range between microhertz and hertz. \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):    \n https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n ID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n   \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

(Chile Continental) –  vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Arsenii Titov\, Universidad de Pisa (Italia) \nTitle:  “Solving the strong CP problem without axions” \n  \nAbstract: \nWe formulate general conditions under which the strong CP problem is solved by spontaneous CP violation. Quark mass matrix elements are polynomials in the CP-breaking order parameters\, engineered such that their determinant is a real constant. These conditions can be realised in supersymmetric theories with an anomaly-free local flavour symmetry\, suggesting a unified solution to the strong CP problem and the flavour puzzle.  Our solution can be implemented using either a local U(1) symmetry or modular invariance. We present concrete modular-invariant realisations. Heavy vector-like quarks are in general not required\, but their presence allows for models where coloured particles fill non-singlet representations of the finite modular groups. \n  \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):    https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n ID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n  \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

DESCRIPTION:Seminario José Helayel-Neto_24 de julio de 2024\n  \nDate: miércoles 24 de julio –  14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) –  vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. José Abdalla Helayël-Neto (Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas\, Brasil) \nTitle: “Supersymmetry\, fact or fake?” \n  \nAbstract: \n20th Century Physics\, after the establishment of quantum theory\, surfs intensely on the concept of symmetry – which is implemented through Group Theory – and\, based on principles of invariance\, makes major predictions about the existence of new forms and new behavior of matter. Observations with cosmic rays and large experiments with particle accelerators gradually\, over the past decades\, confirm the existence of these elementary particles\, predicted far in advance and revealed through the understanding (philosophical above all) that Nature has an intrinsically mathematical quality\, as defended by Paul Dirac. Supersymmetry entered the scene in 1973\, at a special moment in which the Standard Model was being settled down with its well-known limitations. Supersymmetric partners that do not appear and regions of the MSSM that are increasingly restricted by recent experiments are elements\, for many\, of loss of confidence in this strongly consequent principle of invariance. The purpose of this contribution is to bring elements to reflect on this area that has already gone beyond the limits of the Physics of Fundamental Interactions and Elementary Particles\, clarify the advances it has brought\, the expectations it has not met and discuss what we can still expect from the area \n  \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):    https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n ID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n   \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

DESCRIPTION:Seminario Alexander Deur_31 de julio de 2024\n  \nDate: 31 de julio – 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) – vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Alexander Deur  (Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility\, USA) \n Title: “Insights from Light-Front Quantization on the Unruh Effect” \n   \nAbstract: \n We discuss the Unruh effect\, i.e.\, the possibility that the virtual particles widely believed to populate a quantum vacuum can be observed from an accelerated frame. However\, as well known\, quantum loops are not present when the vacuum is analyzed using the light-front (LF) form. Analysing the Unruh effect in using  LF show that\, since the light-front vacuum is effectively empty\, there is no Unruh effect\, i.e.\, acceleration has no effect on a trivial vacuum. Since the standard Instant-Form (IF) calculations suggesting an Unruh effect are formally consistent\, there must be a cancelling contribution omitted in the IF analyses. A ready candidate for such cancelation is the dynamical action of IF Lorentz transformations on the structure of an Unruh detector.  \n\nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):    https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n\nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n  \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías – Dr. Oscar Zapata Noreña (Universidad de Antioquía\, Colombia)
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Oscar Zapata_14 de agosto de 2024\n  \nDate: 14 de agosto – 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Oscar Zapata Noreña (Universidad de Antioquía\, Colombia) \n Title: “Dark matter in QCD-like theories with a theta vacuum: cosmological and astrophysical implications” \n  \nAbstract: \nQCD-like theories in which the dark matter (DM) of the Universe is hypothesized to be a thermal relic in the form of a dark pion has been extensively investigated\, with most studies neglecting the CP-violating θ-angle associated with the topological vacuum. We point out that a non-vanishing θ could potentially trigger resonant number-changing processes giving rise to the observed relic density in agreement with perturbative unitarity as well as observations of clusters of galaxies. This constitutes a novel production mechanism of MeV DM and an alternative to those relying on the Wess-Zumino-Witten term. Moreover\, for specific meson mass spectra\, similar resonant scatterings serve as a realization of velocity-dependent self-interacting DM without a light mediator. Explicit benchmark models are presented together with a discussion of possible signals. \n  \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):    https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n  \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n   \nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías – Alexander Belyaev (University of Southampton\, United Kingdom)
DESCRIPTION:Seminario Alexander Belyaev_21 de agosto\nDate: 21 de agosto – 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Alexander Belyaev  (University of Southampton\, United Kingdom) \n Title: “The  Physics of Fermionic Portal to Vector Dark Matter” \n  \nAbstract: \nWe suggest a new class of models – Fermionic Portal Vector Dark Matter (FPVDM) which extends the Standard Model (SM) with SU(2)_D dark gauge sector. While FPVDM does not require kinetic mixing and Higgs portal to explain Dark Matter (DM) phenomena.  This framework is based on the Vector-Like (VL) fermionic doublet which couples the dark sector with the SM sector through the Yukawa interaction. The FPVDM framework provides a vector DM with Z_2 odd parity ensuring its stability.  Multiple realisations are allowed depending on the VL partner and scalar potential\, which\nexplain not only DM but also  could  provide solution of various BSM hints\, including (g-2)_mu\, flavour anomalies as well as W-boson mass measurement by CDF.  Moreover\, the breaking of  SU(2)_D can also  provides the Graviational Wave signals from a specific regions of the parameter space\, where the  strong first-order phase transition takes place. \nTwo FPVDM examples  will be discussed. One of them is the realisation with only a VL top partner\, which  provides interesting and promising implications for DM direct and indirect detection experiments\, relic density and collider searches.   Another  realisation is th emodel with  a doublet of new vector-like partners of  muon can simultaneously explain DM relic density together with (g-2)_mu anomaly   which has been in close focus of the HEP community over two decades.  It  predicts the mass of vector DM to be below  GeV as well as the mass of the muon partner to be below 1 TeV\, and provides novel multi-lepton signatures at the LHC. \nThe talk is based on 2203.04681\, 2204.03510 arXiv papers as well as the two new papers which are coming soon. \n   \nAlso attached is a pdf of this talk by Professor Alexander Belyaev. \n   \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):       https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n\nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n\nNOTE:  The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

DESCRIPTION:AnuncioSeminarioValentinaDeRomeri\nDate: 28 de agosto – 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Valentina De Romeri (Universitat de Valencia\, España) \n Title:  “Coherent Elastic Neutrino-Nucleus Scattering in the Standard Model and Beyond” \n  \nAbstract: \nCoherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) is a neutral-current process in which a neutrino scatters off an entire nucleus. First theoretically predicted in the ‘70s\, its detection has proven especially challenging due to the tiny nuclear recoil energies produced in the scattering. CEvNS was measured for the first time in 2017 by the COHERENT collaboration. This observation has opened the window to many physics applications\, including Standard Model precision tests and searches for new physics. In this talk\, I will discuss the physics potential of CEvNS. I will first briefly review the main features of CEvNS and the status of current observations. Then I will comment on their implications for tests of the Standard Model\, namely the determination of the weak mixing angle and the extraction of nuclear structure information. Concerning physics beyond the standard model\, I will present several applications: new neutrino interactions\, the production of new particles\, and the role of CEvNS as a background for dark matter direct detection probes. \n   \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n  \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126 \n\nThe seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars: \nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Altas Energías – Dr. Patrick Foldenauer (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid\, España)
DESCRIPTION:AnuncioSeminarioPatrickFoldenauer\n  \nDate: 4 de septiembre – 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Patrick Foldenauer ( Instituto de Física Teórica\, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid\, España) \n Title:  “The latest from dark photons: from kinetic mixing to stellar cooling” \n  \nAbstract: \nA popular choice for novel mediators between the Standard Model (SM) and a dark sector are dark photons. Kinetic mixing between the new gauge bosons and the hypercharge gauge boson result in mixing with the photon and the Z. In many setups\, however\, the mixing with the hypercharge gauge boson captures only part of the kinetic mixing term with the photon\, since the new gauge bosons can also mix with the neutral component of the SU(2) gauge bosons. In this talk\, I will take these contributions into account and present a consistent description of kinetic mixing for general Abelian gauge groups. Based on these results I will derive a low-energy theorem for the couplings of novel Abelian gauge bosons with the SM Higgs boson from the one-loop kinetic mixing amplitudes. Novel contributions from gauge boson loops will be present. Finally\, I will show how kinetic mixing can be tested in White Dwarf cooling and how this constrains a possible explanation of the g-2 anomaly in models of muon-philic dark photons. \n   \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09 \n  \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888 \nCódigo de acceso: 100126

(Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Nicolás Bernal (New York University Abu Dhabi\, Emiratos Árabes Unidos) \nTitle:   “From WIMPs to FIMPs with Low Reheating Temperatures”\n\n\nAbstract:\n\nWeakly- and Feebly-Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs and FIMPs) are among the best-motivated dark matter (DM) candidates. In this paper\, we investigate the production of DM through the WIMP and FIMP mechanisms during inflationary reheating. We show that the details of the reheating\, such as the inflaton potential and the reheating temperature\, have a strong impact on the genesis of DM. The strong entropy injection caused by the inflaton decay has to be compensated by a reduction of the portal coupling in the case of WIMPs\, or by an increase in the case of FIMPs. We pinpoint the smooth transition between the WIMP and the FIMP regimes in the case of low reheating temperature. As an example\, we perform a full numerical analysis of the singlet-scalar DM model; however\, our results are generic and adaptable to other particle DM candidates. Interestingly\, in the singlet-scalar DM model with low-reheating temperature\, regions favored by the FIMP mechanism are already being tested by direct detection experiments such as LZ and XENONnT.\n\n\n  \nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09\n \nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888\nCódigo de acceso: 100126\n \n\nNote:\n \nThe seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:\n \nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

(Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Gregory Patellis (Instituto Superior Técnico\, Universidade de Lisboa\, Portugal) \nTitle:   “A Reduction of the 2HDM Parameter Space”\n\n\nAbstract:\n\nThe idea of reduction of couplings consists in searching for renormalization group invariant relations among seemingly independent couplings of a renormalizable theory. Here we  review the existence of such 1-loop relations among the top Yukawa\, the Higgs quartic and the gauge colour couplings of the Type-II Two Higgs Doublet Model at a high-energy boundary. Fitting the reduced theory to the experimental constraints suggests the value of tanβ and the scale in which physics beyond the second scalar doublet may appear.\n\n\n  \n\nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09\nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888\nCódigo de acceso: 100126\n\n\n\nNote:\n \nThe seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:\n \nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg

SUMMARY:Seminario Grupo de Física de Altas Energías – Dr. Di Zhang (Universidad Técnica de Munich\, Alemania)
DESCRIPTION:AnuncioSeminarioDiZhang\n  \nDate: 23 de octubre – 14:30 hrs. (Chile Continental) \nLugar: Vía online \nSpeaker: Dr. Di Zhang (Universidad Técnica de Munich\, Alemania) \n\nTitle: “Operator Bases and RGEs for Dim-7 Operators in the SMEFT” \n\n\nAbstract:  \n\nIn this talk\, a Green’s basis and a new physical basis for dimension-seven (dim-7) operators are proposed\, which are suitable for the matching of ultraviolet models onto the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) and the deviation of renormalization group equations (RGEs) for the SMEFT dim-7 operators. The reduction relations to convert operators in the Green’s basis to those in the physical basis are achieved as well\, where some redundant dim-6 operators in the Green’s basis are involved if the dim-5 operator exists. Working in these two bases\, we work out the one-loop RGEs resulting from the mixing among different dimensional operators for the SMEFT dim-7 operators for the first time\, and also revisit those from the mixing among dim-7 operators. These results complete the full RGEs of dim-7 operators and can be used for a consistent one-loop analysis of the SMEFT. Some applications of those results are briefly discussed.\n\n \n\n\nUnirse a la reunión Zoom con nombre y apellido (with name and surname):  https://reuna.zoom.us/j/87161425888?pwd=MWFZUFNQRnI4MXo1QzFLdGpJblllZz09\n\nID de reunión: 871 6142 5888\nCódigo de acceso: 100126\n\n\n\n\nNote: The seminars are uploaded in the youtube channel UTFSMHEP Seminars:\n \nhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYq1A4y7pCHqovaXsrtd6hg
